Carmine D. Rizzo Collection
In 2012, a group of works granted by the Carmine Domenico Rizzo Foundation became part of the Museum.
This is a collection that covers a period between the Second Futurism and Abstract-Concrete Art: Ivo Pannaggi, Nicolaj Diulgheroff, Osvaldo Peruzzi, Giulio D'Anna, Gualtiero Nativi, Gianni Bertini, Giulio Turcato, Mario Nigro, Arturo Carmassi, Venturino Venturi, Bruni Munari, Gianni Dova, Dadamaino and many others.
Carmine Domenico Rizzo was a Calabrian entrepreneur born in Campana (Cs) in 1916 and moved to Bologna after the Second World War, where he became one of the main building contractors.
In the Sixties he financed the first films of Pupi Avati and in 1983 he was named Cavaliere del Lavoro.
Upon his death in 2006, the Foundation named after him, based in Rende, continued his social, philanthropic and cultural activities through his nephew Giuseppe Chiarello.
